Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot Launches Mukhyamantri Nishulk Annapurna Food Packet Scheme on 77th Independence Day

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot declared that this Independence Day represents a “day of new hope” for the state, emphasizing the recent formation of 17 districts. Addressing the 77th Independence Day, Gehlot expressed, “Today is a day of enthusiasm, tomorrow will be full of hopes.”

He highlighted the nation’s strong democracy and emphasized the collective responsibility to protect it, in accordance with the Constitution of India. The state government is committed to promoting social and economic equality, as well as the overall development of the people, by adhering to policy guidelines.

The state-level Independence Day event was held at Sawai Man Singh Stadium in Jaipur, where Gehlot raised the national flag. He also launched the Mukhyamantri Nishulk Annapurna Food Packet Scheme at Birla Auditorium, stating that the state government’s decisions aim to provide maximum relief to the common man. Gehlot emphasized that the schemes are not freebies, but rather a responsibility of a democratic government towards the public.

During the inauguration, Gehlot distributed food packets containing various essential items, emphasizing that the scheme is a step towards the resolution of “no one should sleep hungry in the state.” Under the scheme, free Annapurna food packets will be distributed every month to more than 1.04 crore families in the state.
