Center Urgent Advisory for Indian Citizens in Ukraine – Stay Safe and Informed

The Indian Embassy in Ukraine has issued an advisory urging citizens to refrain from traveling to border posts without prior coordination with Indian officials and the Embassy. The situation at border checkpoints is sensitive, and the Embassy is working with neighboring countries for coordinated evacuation. It is becoming increasingly difficult for the Embassy to assist Indian nationals who arrive at checkpoints without prior notice.

The latest notice was issued due to ongoing reports of shellings and fighting. The Embassy advises that western cities in Ukraine are relatively safer, and it is recommended to stay there rather than travel to border checkpoints without informing authorities.

For assistance, individuals can contact the MEA Control Room at the toll-free number 1800118797 or via email at [email protected].

All Indian citizens in Ukraine are advised to avoid moving to border posts without coordination with Indian officials and the Embassy. It is safer to stay in western cities with access to necessities. Those in the Eastern sector should remain in their current location, stay calm, and avoid unnecessary movement. Exercise caution, be aware of your surroundings, and stay updated on developments.
